  • Evening Meeting - 4th May 7.30pm

    Talk by Irene Dougan "Derbyshire's Delights". An illustrated talk about Derbyshire's wonderful NGS gardens by Irene who is the NGS Derbyshire County Organiser.


  • Garden Visit - 12th May 2pm

    A visit to Eyam Hall and garden (NT). After visiting the house enjoy a guided tour of the garden by garden volunteers Tricia and Alistair Fraser. Refreshments available afterwards in the Buttery Tea room (not NT). 


  • Spring Plant Sale - 21st/22nd May

    Our annual Spring Plant Sale at Sheffield Botanical Gardens takes place on Saturday 21st May, 11am-2.30pm and Sunday 22nd May 10am - 1.30pm. Perennials, annuals, shrubs, grasses and vegetable plants all on sale, all propagated by South Pennine Group members. Admission is free.

Based in Sheffield and North Derbyshire, we are one of over 40 local groups of Hardy Plant Society members.

The Hardy Plant Society is a charity formed in 1957 which aims to stimulate interest in growing hardy herbaceous plants and to conserve older, rarer and less well-known varieties to prevent their loss. It is an international society and in the UK there are members' groups in many areas.
